Median Income of Persons Up in 1965 (Advance data from March 1966 sample survey)

Median incomes for both men and women rose in 1965, according to estimates released today by the Bureau of the Census, Department of Commerce. The median income for men was $4,800 and for women $1,600. This represents an increase of approximately 4 percent for men and 8 percent for women over the 1964 medians.
