2020 Final Boundary Validation Program (BVP) and Boundary and Annexation Survey (BAS) Maps
The 2020 Final Boundary Validation Program (BVP) maps reflect the updates to the legal boundary of governments submitted to the 2020 BAS by March 1, 2020. The file name for the Final BVP maps have the prefix “BVPF20”. Final BVP maps are only available for governments eligible to participate in Final BVP. The 2020 Boundary and Annexation Survey (BAS) maps display the updated legal boundary and names valid through January 1, 2019 for all governments that participated in the 2019 BAS. The file name for the 2020 BAS maps have the prefix “BAS20”.
These reference maps are an entity-based map series and are created for the following geographic entities: counties or county equivalents, minor civil divisions (MCDs), places, consolidated cities, American Indian areas/Alaska Native areas (AIAs) and Hawaiian home lands (HHLs).
