  • Insets are provided for Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Other island areas are not shown.
  • Postal abbreviations are shown for each State. Titles of the State offshore areas are also shown.
  • Titles are not shown for the Metropolitan/Micropolitan Areas, but are highlighted separately to identify Metropolitan Statistical Areas from Micropolitan Statistical Areas.
  • Shows a Mercator Projection of the United States, including the State and summary offshore area outlines.
