If you have tried accessing data.census.gov and you receive an error message that provides a Support ID, please check first to make sure that the correct URL was used. The URL is https://data.census.gov/. Make sure that you do not enter “www” with the URL, as this will cause the site to be blocked.
If the URL was entered properly, please send the Support ID number and the URL you were trying to access to census.data@census.gov. If you were trying to access the URL from a button or link found on a different page, please provide the location of the link and/or the path you took to get to the Support ID error message. We can use this information to determine what went wrong and to implement a fix.
There are alternative ways to try entering the site. The first is to try typing the URL, https://data.census.gov/, directly into the address bar. You can also try entering through the Advanced Search by using the URL https://data.census.gov/advanced.
Even if you are able to access the site through one of the alternative paths provided above, we ask that you still email us at census.data@census.gov if you encounter any problems with accessing or using the site.
