The 2023 Q4 data for the Quarterly Summary of State & Local Tax Revenue was originally released on Thursday, March 14, 2024. A data error was quickly discovered in Minnesota showing a negative value for item code T10 (Alcoholic beverages) in Table 3. The data error was quickly corrected along with additional revisions for other data items to provide the most current data available. The revisions were published on Friday, March 15, 2024.
Revisions were made in the following states: Arkansas, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, and West Virginia. The revisions in these states will also lead to revised values for national totals in Table 1, Table 2, and Table 3.
