Integrated Microcomputer Processing System (IMPS)

IMPS 4.1

Overview

The Integrated Microcomputer Processing System (IMPS) performs the major tasks in survey and census data processing: data entry, data editing, tabulation, data dissemination, statistical analysis and data capture control which can be used as a complete processing system or as stand-alone modules. IMPS allows persons with little or no computer experience to contribute to the data processing operation.

1 Software: IMPS 4.1 Components

IMPS 4.1 Requirements

  • Pentium processor
  • 16 MB of RAM
  • SVGA monitor (PCI or VESA graphics)
  • Mouse
  • 16 MB hard drive space (5 MB if IMPS 3.1 is already installed)
  • Microsoft Windows 95

IMPS 4.1 Download

IMPS 4.1: This includes the Windows Data Dictionary, Cross Tabulation, Table Viewer, Map Viewer, Text Viewer, and Data Sort modules together with IMPS 3.1 (full DOS version). When installed it requires 17 MB of disk space. If you prefer, you can download five diskette images of 1.4 MB each: Disk 1 , Disk 2 , Disk 3 , Disk 4 , Disk 5 (For diskette images, download each image to your hard disk. Then expand each image file onto a separate diskette. For example, for the first diskette run DISK1 A:)

IMPS 4.1 CrossTab: This includes the Windows Data Dictionary, Cross Tabulation, Table Viewer, Map Viewer, Text Viewer, and Data Sort modules. When installed it requires 3.3 MB of disk space.

IMPS 4.1 TextView: This includes the Windows Text Viewer only. When installed it requires 1.6 MB of disk space.

IMPS 4.1 Map Viewer: This includes the Windows Map Viewer only. When installed it requires 1.8 MB of disk space.

3 Software: IMPS 3.1 Components

IMPS 3.1 Requirements

  • IBM PC or compatible microcomputer
  • 640K bytes of memory
  • IMPS occupies 8Mb in standard installation
  • CA-Realia COBOL compiler 3.0 or higher

IMPS 3.1 Download

Download three diskette images of 1.4 MB each: Disk 1 , Disk 2 , Disk 3 (For diskette images, download each image to your hard disk. Then expand each image file onto a separate diskette. For example, for the first diskette run IMPS31A A:)
