County-level Model-based Estimates from 2019 American Housing Survey: Signs of Rodents

The 2019 County-level Model-based Estimates from the 2019 AHS provides county estimates of rodent sightings for all counties in the United States.

The American Housing Survey (AHS), sponsored by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), provides national, state-level, and select MSA-level information on housing characteristics, quality, and cost. Using the 2019 AHS, auxiliary data sources, and small area estimation methods, the experimental estimates provide measures for rodent sightings in occupied housing units for all U.S. counties.

The experimental data file includes, for all U.S. counties: the estimated number of housing units from the 2019 Population Estimates Program (PEP), the number of occupied housing units which experienced a rodent sighting in a 12-month period between 2018-2019, and the 90 percent confidence interval for each estimate.
