CVAP from the 2005-2009 American Community Survey 5 year Estimates
The documentation for the Citizen Voting Age Population (CVAP) Special Tabulation From the 2005-2009 5-Year American Community Survey is now available.
The data files, in both CSV and SAS formats, are posted through these links. The zip files contain the CVAP documentation along with nationwide files for the following geographies:
- Nation
- State
- County
- Place
- MCD (Minor Civil Division - only for CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, VT, MI, WI, NJ, NY, MN, and PA)
- Tract (Note: these are Census 2000 tracts, not 2010 Census tracts)
- Block Groups (Note: these are Census 2000 block groups, not 2010 Census block groups)
- NOTE: Tract and Block Group level data from the 2005-2009 ACS are based on the Census 2000 boundaries for those entities. In a short number of counties, the 2010 Census or an interim version of the 2010 Census Tract and Block Groups was used.
