Learn more about the release of the Proof of Concept for the 2020 Census Detailed Demographic and Housing Characteristics File B (Detailed DHC-B). The Detailed DHC-B provides household type (e.g., family and nonfamily households) and tenure (owner or renter occupied) data for approximately 1,500 detailed racial and ethnic groups and American Indian and Alaska Native tribes and villages. The Proof of Concept uses 2010 Census data to outline the proposed data product design and disclosure avoidance settings, including data availability, suppression, accuracy, and inconsistencies. The Proof of Concept is scheduled to be released on January 29, 2024, and we are seeking public feedback by February 28, 2024. After we review the feedback, final determinations will be made for the final 2020 data.
