Accessing 2020 Detailed Demographic and Housing Characteristics File B Data on data.census.gov

Description

With the August release of the 2020 Census Detailed Demographic and Housing Characteristics File B, or Detailed DHC-B, data users will be able to access household and tenure data for detailed racial and ethnic groups using data.census.gov. The Detailed DHC-B release provides household type and tenure information, including total household counts, for 2020 Census Geographies, including the Nation, state, county, places (cities and towns), census tracts, and American Indian/Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian (AIANNH) areas.

In this webinar, we will provide information on the data available from the 2020 Detailed DHC-B and how to access it on the Census Bureau's main data platform, data.census.gov. Our presenter will guide participants through the site to access 2020 data by detailed race and ethnicity, find data based on geography levels, and visualize your data on the mapping feature. Participants will also learn where to find additional resources and technical documentation related to the release. A brief Q&A session will follow the presentation.

This webinar will focus on the platform data.census.gov and finding available 2020 Detailed Demographic and Housing Characteristics File B data. Questions related to the data collection process, methodology, disclosure avoidance, and data analysis will not be addressed during this session.
