The U.S. Census Bureau integrates openness into our core mission in support of the Department of Commerce’s mission to integrate the open government principles of transparency, participation, and collaboration.
The Open Government Plan describes the Department's program and functional areas that represent the continued commitment to the guiding principles and highlights those open government happenings of ongoing initiatives and activities across the Department’s Bureaus and Operating Units (BOUs).
Current and previous Open Government Plans are located on the DOCs Office of Privacy and Open Government (OPOG) site.
As required by Executive Order 13571 on Streamlining Service Delivery and Improving Customer Service, Commerce has developed a plan that identifies specific actions and initiatives to further advance its customer service delivery, focusing on key service areas and technology-driven initiatives. This plan outlines the key elements of these initiatives.
