The Cleveland History Center's new exhibit, "Power & Politics," highlights the significant role Cleveland and Northeast Ohio plays in presidential politics. The exhibit uses census data, family and community history, and its vast collection of politically-themed artifacts to bring presidential politics to life. For example, the exhibit highlights the 1896 presidential campaign, in which Ohio governor William McKinley became the 25th president of the United States, as well as presidential fashion, including a dress worn by former first lady Nancy Reagan. As excitement builds for the 2016 presidential election, the exhibit also spotlights the 2016 presidential campaign and the 2016 Republican National Convention held in Cleveland.
