Big Horn County Museum

Hardin, MT, is the youngest and largest town in Big Horn County, serving as its county seat since Big Horn County's establishment on January 13, 1913. Today, the 5,015 square mile county is home to the Crow and Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservations, the National Park Service's Little Bighorn Battlefield, and the Big Horn County Museum.

The Big Horn County Historical Museum in Hardin, MT, brings history to life through its 26 buildings that allow visitors to view the lives of settlers and American Indians. The museum uses census data to recreate local history and the culture of the Plains Indians.
