Reimbursable Agreements

The Census Bureau enters into a reimbursable agreement when it provides a service to another agency or commercial entity and is reimbursed for costs.

Data Acquisition

The Census Bureau is authorized to acquire data for statistical uses from federal agencies and other parties, and enters into agreements for this purpose.

Joint Statistical Projects

The Census Bureau is authorized to engage in joint statistical projects with federal agencies and other non-profit organizations, as long as the costs for these projects are shared equitably.
