SIPP 2008 Panel Wave 6 Employer Provided Health Benefits Topical Module - User Note for High Imputation Rates

Statement of the Problem:

The data for the variables EAMTLONG, ETIMEAMT, ERETCONT, ERETPLAN, EENDSALA, ETIMPLAN, and EWHOPLN in the 2008 Wave 6 Employer Provided Health Benefits Topical Module should be used with caution due to item nonresponse that resulted in very high imputation rates. Users should assess the value of using these variables for their individual analyses. The allocation variables are AAMTLONG, ATIMEAMT, ARETCONT, ARETPLAN, AENDSALA, ATIMPLAN, and AWHOPLN. Users are unable to separate imputed from reported responses for variables EENDSALA, and EAMTLONG when variables take a value of zero. The imputation rates for these variables are 55%, and 69%, respectively.
