Christine Gambino is a survey statistician in the Education and Social Stratification Branch in the Social, Economic and Housing Statistics Division of the U.S. Census Bureau.

Gambino is the lead subject matter expert on language and English-speaking-ability statistics for Census Bureau surveys. She has authored numerous Census Bureau reports and papers on language, the foreign-born population, and educational attainment in immigrant families.

Before coming to the Census Bureau, Gambino was a researcher at the City University of New York-Queens College, Fordham University, Lighthouse International, the New York City Administration for Children’s Services and the Community Pediatrics Division of the University of California, San Diego. She also taught various undergraduate psychology classes at Fordham.

She has a master’s degree in applied developmental psychology from Fordham University, a bachelor’s degree in cognitive psychology from the University of California, San Diego and a graduate certificate in project management from George Washington University.
