1950 Census of Housing: Housing Characteristics of the United States, Regions, and Metropolitan Areas: April 1, 1950

Preliminary results of the 1950 Census of Housing were published in a series of reports, HC-1, HC-2, HC-3, HC-4, and HC-5. The data were based either on preliminary field counts or preliminary sample tabulations.

Series HC-5 are preliminary reports on selected housing characteristics, based on tabulations of samples of dwelling units. The HC-5 reports are for the United States, for the four regions, and for the 57 standard metropolitan areas summarized.
