General Information
- Programming enhancement to AES for submitting SED data
- Improve the accuracy of data validation
- Incorporate system modifications
- Accommodate future expansion
- AES Software Vendors, Service Centers and Self-Progammers MUST test
- All other filers are advised to test

- Refer to the Test Scripts.
- There will be a significant change in the way corrections are performed:
- It will no longer be acceptable to perform the "Delete" then "Add" function to make corrections.
- Corrections must be performed using the "Change" or "Replace" functions.
- There will be new filing requirements:
- 99% of the warning messages have been switched to fatal error messages.
- See the new Compliance Alert and Statistical Verification Conditions.
- Filer's business requirements may need to change to prevent the
fatal errors. See page 5 of the
AES Newsletter Special Edition. - New ITNs will not be issued when corrections are made to previously submitted shipments.
- Implementation occured on June 7, 2004 -- one day earlier than planned.
- You may continue to test your software in AES Education.
- If you were not able to upgrade your software, you may file free on the Internet via AESDirect.
